Helping Home-Start UK: your pennies are offering a lifeline to struggling families

More than 100 children are referred to Home-Start UK every day. These are children whose parents are struggling to cope with any number of problems, from disability to domestic violence. These families often have complex and long term needs which create multiple risk factors for a child’s development, meaning they can miss out on the love, routine and support that are vital for their future.

Adnams’ customers keep local charity East Anglian Air Ambulance flying in 2015

Brewer and distiller Adnams understands the importance of the local communities that surround its famous brewery in Southwold, Suffolk. With that in mind, they have been offering Pennies to customers at their Cellar & Kitchen Stores across East Anglia for over two years, raising vital funds for a range of charities working throughout the region to improve the lives of as many people living there as possible.

Your pennies add up to help cancer patients and their families

Pennies has helped well over 100 charities, covering a broad range of causes since launching four years ago. More than 10% of those are either helping people suffering with cancer or searching for cures to this devastating disease. With that in mind we wanted to give you an insight into how your money really has helped this cause, which is so close to many people’s hearts.

Donations help fix-up charities in need across the UK

The Screwfix Foundation was set up in 2013 with a view to helping fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and facilities for those in need in the UK. In June that same year, the charity also became beneficiaries of donations made via Pennies, thanks to Screwfix’s customers rounding up their orders by just a few extra pence when shopping online.
