Children’s Burns Trust

Prevention, rehabilitation and support for children with burn injuries

The Children’s Burns Trust works right across the UK in partnership with NHS professionals and other groups. The charity aims to reduce the number of burns and scalds that happen to children by raising awareness of the causes and incidence of these injuries and provide advice and guidance on prevention. It also helps rehabilitate children and young people with burns to grow up and lead as normal a life as possible, from medical equipment to family therapy weekends and physiotherapy.

Children’s Burns Trust also gives financial support to families and equipment to hospitals. These services are crucial, helping families to find the information and services that they need often at a time of real stress. Micro-donations have helped the charity make a real difference, covering costs for things like family weekends away, boosting the quality of life of children, their families and the professionals who support them.
