Guide Dogs
Providing guide dogs and other mobility services for blind and partially sighted people
Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind. When someone loses their sight, Guide Dogs makes sure they don’t lose their freedom as well. The charity helps people with sight loss live a full and rewarding life, working with people of all ages through all stages of life, providing different types of support to meet their individual needs. In 2015, Guide Dogs provided two million days of mobility, supporting more than 10,000 people, through provision of dogs and other adult and children’s services.
But they rely on donations to continue their life-changing work. Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss and by 2050, there could be nearly four million. The digital pennies you donate to Guide Dogs via the digital charity box help make a difference to the people living with sight loss in your community.
