Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance

Saving lives everyday

Every year the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance’s iconic yellow Ambucopter is dispatched to around 1,000 of the most serious and time-critical 999 calls in the two counties, from RTCs and sporting accidents to cardiac arrests and falls – averaging 3 a day. The helicopter transports the equivalent of an A&E department to the scene of the incident or accident, delivering high level pre-hospital critical care to patients, including advanced procedures that the highly trained medics and on-board doctor can provide to support the land ambulance crews. Patients can then be transported to the best hospital for their needs in the most appropriate way, whether by air or by land.

The helicopter can then be immediately available again to deliver life-saving care at the next life-threatening emergency, giving even more patients their best chance of survival. It is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that they serve, and donations like those made through Pennies with supporting retailers, that Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance is able to keep flying and saving lives.
