The National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal
The National Emergencies Trust (NET) is an independent charity that collaborates with charities and other bodies to raise and distribute money at the time of a domestic disaster. NET works collaboratively with a wide range of organisations to ensure the maximum amount of money is raised and is distributed effectively and fairly to those organisations who can do most to help those in need in the time of a domestic disaster.
The NET distributes funds to its network of 46 Community Foundations across the UK. These groups are well-placed to understand who is impacted locally, and how, and what help they need.
The outbreak of coronavirus is both a global and national emergency. The NET Coronavirus Appeal was launched by the Duke of Cambridge and raises funds to provide local charities and grassroots organisations throughout the UK the vital support they need to help the people who need it the most, in the quickest way possible. Many people are suffering, not just from ill health but also from the economic impact and the effects of social distancing and isolation.
Any donation you give to NET through Pennies collectively amounts to these people receiving the support that they urgently need during unprecedented times.
