Save the Children

Helping children to fulfil their potential

Save the Children does whatever it takes to save children. From their first moments of life, Save the Children work to get children the healthcare, food and water, safety and education they need to survive and thrive. They are on the ground in 120 countries and are there for children in their toughest moments, in the toughest places. Their pioneering work helps give children, no matter where they’re born, the chance to fulfil their potential. Save the Children runs world-class programmes to save children’s lives and challenge world leaders to keep to their promises to give children a brighter future.

The charity also responds to emergencies across the world – delivering life-saving food, water, healthcare, protection and education to millions of children and their family members. This includes working in some of the poorest and most dangerous places around the world, including Syria and neighbouring countries, to give children and their families the basics they need to survive. For example, your donations helped children devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in late 2013, providing medical care, basic food and shelter in the wake of the disaster.
