Screwfix Foundation

Fixing homes & community facilities for those in need

The Screwfix Foundation was set up in 2013 to support projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities specifically for those in need in the UK. The charity works with both national and local charities donating much needed funding to help all sorts of projects, from repairing buildings and improving facilities in deprived areas, to decorating the homes of people living with sickness or disability. Along with a large number of local charities, there are two national charity partners that benefit from the money raised by the Screwfix Foundation – Barnardo’s children’s charity and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Barnardo’s has pledged to use the donations to maintain its local centres which support sick children and their families, whilst Macmillan will put the funds towards its grants scheme, enabling people with cancer to adapt their homes to make their lives easier. Micro-donations made online at have also helped local charities like Hop, Skip, Jump Foundation, a charity offering respite care for children and young adults in Bristol.
