The Eve Appeal

Protecting women from gynaecological cancers

The Eve Appeal is the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. In the UK over 21,000 women are diagnosed annually with a gynaecological cancer. That’s 58 women every day and sadly 21 women will die from a gynaecological cancer every day. That’s far too many mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, partners or friends each day and despite these shocking statistics, gynaecological cancers are neither a well-profiled nor a well-funded cause.

The Eve Appeal was set up to save women’s lives by funding ground-breaking research focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction, earlier detection and screening for these women-only cancers.  The charity also raises much-needed awareness to ensure that women and men understand the key signs and symptoms of all five cancers, and runs a nurse-led information service called Ask Eve. Your micro-donations can help The Eve Appeal realise their vision – a future where fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers
