The Prince of Wales Hospice

Providing care to people with a life-limiting illness since 1989

The Prince of Wales Hospice based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire has been supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families since 1989. They are passionate about supporting people and their families in a positive, caring and practical way offering round-the-clock support 365 days a year. Their dedicated team provides a wide range of services to improve the quality of life for patients, their families and carers, which includes practical, financial, emotional and spiritual support.

All of the Hospice’s services are provided free of charge to patients. But it costs £2.6m a year (£7,116 per day) to run the Hospice – just a third of which comes from the NHS. For the rest, the Hospice relies on support through their retail shops, fundraising events, donations and fundraising initiatives – which is why your micro-donations are so important.
