Walking with the Wounded

Supporting our wounded into work

Founded in 2010, Walking With The Wounded raises money to fund a range of programmes which retrain and re-educate wounded service personnel, equipping them with the skills to find long-term employment meaning they can support themselves and their families. The individuals they support approach their recovery with the same commitment, resolve and determination which they demonstrate on the front line and Walking With The Wounded wish to champion them, to show people how remarkable they are.

The charity runs a range of on-going fundraising projects and events to give support to those who deserve it most. Their high-profile expeditions highlight what can be achieved in spite of life-changing injuries and they hope that by seeing these inspirational examples others will be moved to realise their own potential and also to support Walking With The Wounded. Your pennies have helped Walking With The Wounded support ex-servicemen like Dan, who was badly injured in Helmand, retain as a geography teacher
