British cycling retailer 90 years in the business
Leading British cycle retailer Evans Cycles was founded in London in 1921 by Frederick Evans. Today, the nationwide company has a complete range of bikes to suit every rider, as well as clothing, parts and accessories from the biggest brands. Whether browsing for a purchase big or small, cycling enthusiasts have the chance ‘round up’ their purchases and donate to charity using Pennies. From November 2012 to January 2015, the digital spare change from customers’ card transactions benefited Special Olympics GB.
This money helped the charity give people with intellectual disabilities the chance to take part in cycling programmes that improve both physical fitness and confidence. Today, Pennies donations made in-store with Evans Cycles are supporting Cyclists Fighting Cancer, a charity making a difference to the lives of children and young people living with cancer in the UK, children like Chloe who has been given a new lease of life through cycling.
