Yorkshire Wildlife Park
A dynamic centre for conservation and welfare
The award winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park (YWP) brings visitors almost face to face with some of the world’s most beautiful and at risk species. Putting conservation at the heart of all its activities YWP’s unique animal collection includes Amur Leopard and Tigers, the country’s only four Polar Bears, Giraffes, Lions, Meerkats, Anteaters, Baboons, and many more. The 100-acre park has gone from strength to strength since it opened in 2009 and annual visitor numbers have soared from 62,000 to a record 6882,000 last year.
The park, at Branton, near Doncaster, has won several awards for its work with animals, boosting the local economy and ensuring visitors have an incredible fun filled day-out. In early 2016, YWP introduced Pennies to its ticket kiosks, offering visitors the chance to give a little extra to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation, supporting vital wildlife conservation at home and abroad.
