Since 2011, customers shopping at The Entertainer stores across the South West of England have been rounding up the cost of their purchases to the nearest pound via Pennies, and donating the difference to The Grand Appeal.

By choosing to add on a little extra to their payments, The Entertainer’s customers have collectively made a huge difference to young patients at Bristol Children’s Hospital – reaching a milestone of £300,000 – an amazing result!

The Entertainer reaches £300,000 with Pennies

Karen Emery, Area Manager for The Entertainer in the South West said, “Many of our customers and staff have personal experience of using the hospital services and have seen first-hand the difference The Grand Appeal makes. We’re thrilled that the funds raised support the Play Department, help fund music therapy and provide much needed family accommodation.”

Alison Hutchinson CBE, Pennies CEO added, “This perfect partnership clearly resonates with customers of The Entertainer, and with a contactless giving option recently introduced in-store, we are seeing donations increase even further.

“Pennies is proud to have brought a way to do good and feel good to shoppers, and the impact on those helped by The Grand Appeal at Bristol Children’s Hospital speaks for itself.’

With your continued support and pennies, The Grand Appeal are able to continue their incredible work, providing help and support to 100,000 patients every year with life-threatening illnesses. Look out for Pennies at your local Entertainer store – as wherever you in the UK, your support funds a children’s charity.
