Pennies recipient charities join forces to highlight the risk of ill health and poverty for carers this Carers Week
Eight charities in total have joined forces this week to celebrate and recognise the work carried out by the nearly six million unpaid carers in the UK – that’s 10% of the population! Caring for someone, whether it’s a loved one, family member or friend, can impact on a carer’s health and well-being enormously, which is why this year’s theme is “in sickness and in health”.
