Pennies, the award-winning fintech charity, found in a survey that 48% of UK consumers would be more likely to micro-donate if they knew giving just 35p a week could raise £1 billion annually for charities.
On Wednesday 11th November, we hosted our very first virtual Autumn Event, supported by Avvio Reply and Worldpay from FIS.
Hosted by BBC’s Sally Bundock, the event included a fascinating panel discussion with industry leaders, insight into social purpose for businesses from keynote speaker Roisin Donnelly and The Pennies Recognition Awards.
Pennies is partnered with some amazing businesses who have helped support the digital micro-donation movement and drive the momentum forward. Our Recognition Awards at this year’s event were a chance to highlight those partners who have gone above and beyond to make micro-donations matter this year.
From helping us develop new technology, to their incredible contribution making Pennies part of their business ethos and practice, to those who helped us from the very beginning and some amazing partners in between. The winners were chosen by a panel of industry leaders retail, hospitality, pay tech and financial technology.
