With nearly 300,000 views of our film, it’s been a fantastic week for spreading the word of Pennies. This year, we weren’t selected in the final four for Google’s ultimate prize but we’re delighted to be receiving £100,000, 10 Chromebooks for the office and a tremendous amount of fresh supporters. Our biggest thanks go to everyone who voted over the past week, helping to raise our profile and show how important it is to make giving easy and affordable.

Chair of NCVO and keen Pennies supporter Martyn Lewis had this to say about Pennies achievement as a finalist:

“It is marvellous to see this ingenious way to give recognised by Google. It’s something that should be infused in the DNA of every single retailer in the country,” he said. “Pennies is a charity that represents the sectors current needs by making it very easy and quick for people to contribute to many different charities.”

Congratulations to the four winners in the Global Impact Challenge and well done to all the charities that made it to the final ten. Maybe some of these worthy projects can also be helped via Pennies in the future as well!
