Alison Hutchinson CBE, CEO and Co-founder of Pennies, has been named Charity Leader of the Year, while Peter Nugent, Finance Director and Co-founder of Pennies, has won Supporting Leader of the Year.
The awards recognise Alison and Peter’s leadership and contribution to Pennies, and the work they have led to make digital giving simple and accessible through everyday payments.
Since launching in 2010, Pennies has brought together charities, merchants, payment providers and customers to make giving a simple part of everyday life.
Pennies has enabled 351 million micro-donations, raising £87 million and supporting 1,145 charities across the UK and Ireland since 2010.
For Peter, the award comes at an exciting point in his Pennies journey. The two awards are a fantastic recognition of Alison and Peter’s contribution to Pennies, as well as the collective effort of our team, trustees, charity, merchant and payment partners, and the millions of customers who choose to give their Pennies.
Congratulations to Alison and Peter, and thank you to everyone helping us makeevery pennycount.
