Pennies Returns as Charity Partner at Meet Magento UK 2024
Pennies, a leader in digital micro-donations, is pleased to once again be selected as the charity partner for Meet Magento UK. Taking place on the 18th of June at The Mermaid, this event is the largest Magento and Adobe Commerce conference in the UK, and is organised by JH, an award-winning Magento development agency. It provides a valuable opportunity for Pennies to engage with partners and prospects and explore the potential of micro-donations in e-commerce.
Meet Magento UK 2024
Now in its 13th year, Meet Magento UK brings together merchants, developers, and technology partners working with Adobe Commerce or Magento Open Source. With over 700 attendees, this event is the UK’s largest community-run conference dedicated to eCommerce, covering all aspects from strategy and user experience to technology and cultural trends.
The event serves as a pivotal opportunity for Pennies to reconnect with existing partners and make new connections. The response from agencies since becoming the charity partner at last year’s event has been remarkable, with businesses keen to enhance their value proposition through micro-donations and contribute to Pennies’ growth.
Reflections from Last Year
As you may remember from last year, Alison Hutchinson CBE, CEO of Pennies, gave an inspiring keynote speech on “Why It’s Good, To Do Good: The Importance of Purposeful Brands in the Current Economic Climate.” She explained why brands today are embracing purpose, sharing her insights with delegates around the importance of purpose-driven initiatives like Pennies.

Last year’s speech was a game-changer for Pennies. It introduced us to the community, and we have since expanded from minimal agency engagement to partnering with several agencies, greatly enhancing our impact and reach. Since Meet Magento 2023, Pennies has used this platform to support even more deserving charities and the progress we have made in the past 12 months, thanks to our profile as charity partner at last year’s event, has been substantial.
We look forward to this year’s event to continue to strengthen our position as leaders in the digital donation space and continue to make a positive impact.
To show the impact of Pennies’ micro-donations, imagine this: if all the pennies donated by customers of Pennies’ partners during one day of Meet Magento UK were laid end-to-end, they would circle Blackfriars Bridge about 167 times!
